Motherhood

To be a good mother first of all is to give your child a stable center, a good foundation. A sense of being, a sense of strength. As a mother, you prepare your child to be a missionary in life by your good deeds and the examples you set forth at an early stage.

You provide a safe place where sins are forgiven, where your child can make mistakes and not be turned away, you are there to nurture them and pick up the pieces; sometimes, your child might make you cry in silence and you feel like a failure but be consoled, in that your forgiving nature and the unfailing love you have for them will see them through their difficult years as they try to navigate their journey through life. 

They will grow up to be there for others and accomplish so much because of your quiet strength, their rock. The unwavering determination to stand strong and weather the storm that comes from mothering your child will see them through and comfort them when they feel lost.

They will grow to learn how to be firm yet forgiving, how to be steadfast and stable even in shaky and rocky situations, how to never give up especially in stormy situations because they will know that there will always be sunshine at the end of a storm, there will always be daylight after a nightfall, that the end of thunderous situations will give rise to a beautiful rainbow, if only they persevere. 

Your love for them, and the quiet strength that it gives them will empower them and fuel their confidence to know that they can achieve anything they set their minds to; That the only limitations they have in life is the one that they have created in their minds.

They will know that in a world filled with endless possibilities and opportunities, that most times, you have to seek those out; That there will be mountains that they will need to climb in order to get to the other side, that some mountains might seem too heavy to carry or difficult to climb but the foundations you have set forth in their lives will give them the zeal and strength to get through to the other side. 

Be rest assured that you have built a strong foundation that will not crumble when traveling through the tornadoes of life or in the midst of twisters that might try to derail their path. Be rest assured because your love and the job you have done as a mother has left an indelible mark in their souls. Marked for greatness and the ability to positively impact mankind.
